The Epson DX4 printhead (6000005213) is a genuine original eco-solvent print head used in Roland, Mimaki, and Mutoh wide-format printers. Designed for high-performance printing, this DX4 head delivers 360 dpi resolution, 360 nozzles, and consistent output for solvent, UV, and aqueous applications.

Important note for VersaUV users: the 6000005180 DX4 gold printhead is the recommended option for VersaUV printers, however the standard 6000005213 can also be used with firmware 1.4 or higher. DX4 vs DX5 — Which Do You Need?
The DX4 and DX5 are not interchangeable. The DX4 has 2 ink channels and 360 total nozzles at 360 dpi native. The DX5 has 8 ink channels and 1,440 nozzles at 1440 dpi native. The DX4 is used in older Roland CJ, FJ, SC, SJ, and XC series machines. If you are unsure which generation your printer uses, check your printer model in the compatibility list above or contact our team before ordering.
DX4 Standard vs DX4 Gold (VersaUV)
The standard DX4 (part 6000005213) and the gold DX4 (part 6000005180) are both compatible with Roland VersaUV printers running firmware 1.4 or higher. However all printheads installed in one printer must be the same type — a mixed configuration of standard and gold is not supported. The gold version is recommended for dedicated VersaUV use.
