Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between SL-128 AA, SE-128 AA, and SM-128 AA?
All three are Spectra 128-channel assemblies with the same physical format and dual-slice architecture. The difference is drop size and resulting maximum resolution: SE-128 is 30 pl (up to 900 dpi), SM-128 is 50 pl (up to 600 dpi), and SL-128 is 80 pl (up to 450 dpi). Larger drops produce faster coverage at lower resolution; smaller drops produce finer detail. The variant your printer requires is set at the factory and cannot be changed without modifying the printer's drive electronics.
How do I know if my Agfa Jeti uses the SL-128, SE-128, or SM-128?
Check the existing head markings on your installed printhead — the variant designation is printed on the head body. You can also contact our team with your Jeti model and serial number and we can help confirm the correct variant before you order. Agfa Jeti 33xx and 50xx series printers may use any of the three 128-channel variants depending on their original factory configuration.
What inks are compatible with the SL-128 AA?
The SL-128 AA supports solvent and UV-curable inks. The dual-ported fluid interface allows displacement of drying inks with inert maintenance fluids during periods of non-use, which is important for solvent ink systems. Optional temperature control allows precise viscosity management for demanding UV ink formulations.
Do you ship Spectra SL-128 AA printheads to Latin America?
Yes — same day shipping from our Doral, Miami FL warehouse. Our Miami location is ideal for Latin American wide-format and UV print shops using freight forwarders in the Doral area.
