VersaDrop and RediJet — The SG1024/SC Advantage in Ceramics
VersaDrop: Fujifilm Dimatix's variable drop technology allows the SG1024/SC to produce multiple fixed drop sizes (12–33 pl) in binary mode and greyscale capability from a single head — enabling smoother colour gradations, finer detail in glazed surfaces, and larger drops for denser coverage without switching heads or reducing throughput.
RediJet: Continuous ink recirculation at both the nozzle and refill chamber keeps oil-based ceramic inks moving at all times — preventing pigment settling, reducing clogging, and dramatically improving open time. This is especially important for the highly pigmented, fast-drying ceramic inks used in tile production. RediJet also reduces startup time and ink waste during priming.
SG1024/SC vs Other SG1024 Variants
| Model | Drop Range | Max Frequency | Ink / Application |
|---|---|---|---|
| SG1024/SC (this listing) | 12 – 33 pl | 50 kHz | Oil-based ceramic inks — tile decoration |
| SG1024/MC | 26 – 65 pl | 35 kHz | Oil-based ceramic inks — larger drop / denser coverage |
| SG1024/SA-2C | 30 – 80 pl | 30 kHz | UV, solvent, aqueous — 2-colour, 200 dpi |
The SC designation indicates the small drop ceramic variant — engineered for fine-detail ceramic glazing. The MC is the medium drop ceramic variant for denser coverage applications. The SA-2C is the two-colour UV/solvent/aqueous variant for non-ceramic industrial printing. Contact our team to confirm which SG1024 variant your system requires.
Compatible Systems
The SG1024/SC is an OEM-integration industrial head used by ceramic printing system manufacturers worldwide. It does not have a fixed compatible printer model list — specification is determined at the OEM system level. Contact our team with your ceramic printer make, model, and current printhead part number to confirm SG1024/SC compatibility before ordering.
Warranty Notice
Due to the sensitive nature of industrial printhead components, we cannot accept returns, exchanges, or refunds once the printhead has been installed. All sales are final. Contact our team to confirm compatibility with your system before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between SG1024/SC and SG1024/MC?
SC (small ceramic) has a 12–33 pl drop range at up to 50 kHz — suited for fine-detail ceramic decoration at higher frequencies. MC (medium ceramic) has a 26–65 pl drop range at up to 35 kHz — suited for denser coverage applications requiring larger drops. Both use RediJet and VersaDrop technology with oil-based ceramic inks. Contact our team to confirm which drop size your ceramic printing system requires.
What is RediJet technology?
RediJet is Fujifilm Dimatix's continuous ink recirculation system — it keeps ink circulating through the printhead at both the nozzle and refill chamber during operation and standby. For highly pigmented, fast-drying ceramic inks this prevents pigment settling and nozzle drying, dramatically reducing startup time, ink waste, and downtime. It also enables faster priming during head changes.
Is the SG1024/SC nozzle plate replaceable?
Yes — the SG1024/SC features a collar-mounted, replaceable metal nozzle plate with abrasion-resistant coating. The plate can be removed for cleaning or replaced when worn, extending the service life of the head body itself and reducing the total cost of ownership in high-volume tile production.
Do you ship StarFire SG1024/SC printheads to Latin America?
Yes — same day shipping from our Doral, Miami FL warehouse. Our Miami location is ideal for Latin American ceramic tile manufacturers using freight forwarders in the Doral area.
