PALL Ink Filters — Capsule, Acro Disc & Main Filters for Wide-Format Printers
Genuine PALL ink filters in 3, 5, 10 and 20 micron ratings. PALL capsule filters and Acro Disc filters protect printheads from pigment agglomerates, micro-debris and ink contamination before it reaches the nozzles. Used as OEM in Mimaki JFX, EFI Vutek, Roland and Mutoh wide-format systems. Same-day shipping from our Doral, Florida warehouse on orders placed before 2 PM EST.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my printer need an ink filter, and what does PALL filtration prevent?
Ink is never perfectly clean. Pigment particles agglomerate over time, settling tanks shed debris, and air contact introduces micro-contaminants — all of which migrate downstream toward the printhead. An ink filter sits between the ink supply and the head, trapping particles before they reach the nozzle plate. Once particles enter the nozzles, they cause permanent dropouts and shorten head life by months. PALL filters are the OEM-grade standard — the same medical-grade capsule and disc filters used inside Mimaki JFX flatbeds, EFI Vutek, Canon Arizona and Roland industrial machines from the factory. A $20–$140 filter replaced on schedule is the cheapest possible insurance against a $400–$1,500 printhead.
Which micron rating and connector type do I need?
Filters are specified by (1) micron rating and (2) connector type — both must match your machine. Micron rating: 3μm and 5μm are used closest to the printhead for fine final-stage filtration; 10μm is the most common workhorse; 20μm sits earlier in the ink path as a coarse pre-filter. Finer (3μm) filters more aggressively but restricts flow more — match your printer's spec. Connector type: Luer (twist-lock medical-style), Luer Elbow (90° version of Luer), Jaco (compression-fitting tubing connector), and CPC (quick-disconnect coupler). Connectors are NOT interchangeable. Check the existing filter in your machine, or contact us with your printer model.
What's the difference between a capsule filter, an Acro Disc filter and a main filter?
Capsule filters (PALL MACCA / MACWA series) — the larger black/white plastic housing with inlet and outlet ports. Used as the main inline filter in most wide-format ink systems. Higher capacity, longer service life. Typical price range $84–$139. Acro Disc filters (PALL LCF series) — smaller, low-profile disc-shaped filters with Luer connections. Used for point-of-use filtration close to the printhead or in service tools. Lower capacity, lower price ($20–$22). Main filter — the primary filtration stage on the bulk ink line, often capsule-style 10μm. Each printer has a defined filter chain — replace by location and spec, not by guess.
How often should I replace my ink filters?
Replace filters per printer manufacturer schedule, typically every 6–12 months. Replace sooner if you notice: increased cleaning cycle frequency, color drift or banding that doesn't clear with cleaning, slower ink flow at startup, or visible discoloration of the filter housing (some PALL filters are translucent enough to inspect). On UV ink systems the recommended cycle is shorter (4–8 months) because UV pigments are more aggressive on filter media. On DTF systems with white ink, the white-channel filter wears 2× faster than CMYK due to titanium dioxide settling — plan accordingly.
Are these PALL filters genuine?
Yes. Every filter in this collection is a genuine PALL Corporation product — the same OEM-grade filter media used inside Mimaki, EFI Vutek, Canon Arizona, Roland and Mutoh systems from the factory. PALL is a medical-grade filtration company; their capsule and disc filters are not commodity parts and the market has counterfeit alternatives. Buying from Digiprint USA guarantees authentic PALL filters with the correct media and connector spec.
What is the return policy on ink filters?
Sealed, unused filters are eligible for store credit only, not a refund to the original payment method. Used or installed filters cannot be returned. Inspect your delivery on arrival; hidden defects must be reported within 48 hours. Same-day shipping from Doral, Florida — orders before 2 PM EST go out the same business day.
