Ink Pumps & Suction Pumps — Roland, Mimaki, Mutoh & DTF Printers

Replacement ink pumps and suction pumps for wide-format and DTF printers. The pump creates the vacuum that drives ink through cleaning cycles and primes the printhead. When the pump weakens, cleaning cycles run but nothing clears — and that costs printheads. Same-day shipping from our Doral, Florida warehouse on orders placed before 2 PM EST.

Browse the ink pumps below, or search by your printer model or part number (e.g. Roland, Mimaki, Mutoh DG-48849, Mutoh ValueJet DG-41000).

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the ink pump do, and how does pump failure damage my printhead?
The ink pump (also called suction pump or vacuum pump) is the engine behind every cleaning cycle. When the printer parks the head on the capping station and runs a cleaning cycle, the pump creates negative pressure that pulls ink through the nozzles, clearing dried ink and clogs. When the pump weakens, cleaning cycles complete normally but the nozzle check looks the same or worse — there isn't enough suction to clear the clog. The shop then runs more and more cleaning cycles, each one stressing the printhead, until the head is replaced. A new printhead goes into a system with the same weak pump, and the cycle repeats. Pump suction is one of the most overlooked variables in printhead diagnostics. Read the printhead spare-parts guide.
Which ink pump fits my printer?
Pumps are matched to specific printer platforms. Roland — eco-solvent machines (SP-300/540, XC-540, XR/XF-640, VS-540/640, RE-640) use peristaltic ink pumps; check your printer's service documentation for the exact part. Mimaki — JV33/JV5/CJV30 and JV150/JV300/CJV150/CJV300 series use Mimaki-specific pumps with M-part numbers; UJF-3042 flatbeds use a dedicated liquid feeding pump. Mutoh — ValueJet 1604/1614/1624/1638 use ink pumps including DG-48849 and the maintenance assembly DG-41000 which bundles the pump with the cap top, tubing and pump motor. Chinese DTF printers (Allwin, Stormjet, Sinocolor, Yuxunda, Fedar, Potry, Oric) typically use generic peristaltic or diaphragm pumps matched by hose ID (2mm or 3mm) and motor voltage. Contact us with your printer make and model and we'll confirm before you order.
How do I know my ink pump is failing?
Pump failures show specific symptoms that distinguish them from capping or wiper issues: (1) Cleaning cycles complete the full timed sequence but the nozzle check is unchanged — the cycle ran but no ink was pulled through; (2) You can hear the pump motor running but suction at the cap is weak or absent; (3) Ink waste output to the waste bottle drops off — less ink is being moved per cycle; (4) Repeated cleaning cycles needed to clear what used to clear on one cycle. If you've replaced the capping station and the symptoms persist, the pump is the next variable. On Mutoh ValueJet machines, the full maintenance assembly (DG-41000) replaces both the cap and pump at once.
What's the difference between an ink pump, a suction pump, and a maintenance assembly?
Ink pump / suction pump / vacuum pump — these terms generally refer to the same component: the pump that creates negative pressure for cleaning cycles. Peristaltic pumps (the round housing with a rotor squeezing flexible tubing) are most common on Roland and Mimaki eco-solvent machines. Diaphragm pumps are used on some DTF and UV systems. Maintenance assembly — a service module that bundles the pump with the capping unit, tubing, and pump motor (e.g. Mutoh ValueJet DG-41000 at $399). Maintenance assemblies cost more but resolve multiple wear items at once and are often the recommended preventive replacement on Mutoh and similar systems.
How often should I replace my ink pump?
Ink pumps typically last 2–4 years in production, longer than dampers, capping stations or wipers. Replace when you observe: weak suction during cleaning cycles, audible motor wear (grinding, slower spin-up), or visibly degraded tubing inside peristaltic pumps. Some shops replace the pump preventively at the 3-year mark on production-critical machines. On Mutoh ValueJet platforms, swapping the full maintenance assembly (DG-41000) every 18–24 months addresses pump, cap, and tubing in one service — predictable cost, predictable result.
What is the warranty and return policy on ink pumps?
Sealed, unused pumps are eligible for store credit only, not a refund to the original payment method. Used or installed pumps cannot be returned. Inspect your delivery on arrival; hidden defects must be reported within 48 hours. Same-day shipping from Doral, Florida — orders before 2 PM EST go out the same business day.
