The Epson DX4 is an older eco-solvent printhead still in wide production use, compatible with Roland SP-300/540, VP-300/540, SJ-540/740, Mimaki JV3/JV4, and select Mutoh RJ series printers — with a typical lifespan of 9–14 months in standard eco-solvent production. The DX4's longer lifespan compared to DTF heads (XP600: 3–6 months, i3200: 4–12 months) is due to lower firing frequency in eco-solvent wide-format applications.
