Konica Minolta KM1024i Printhead Guide
Resource Center › Knowledge Center
The Konica Minolta KM1024i is an industrial-grade solvent printhead used in large-format production printers. It is substantially more expensive than the Epson piezo heads used in eco-solvent printing — but it is built for industrial duty cycles and delivers correspondingly longer service life.
KM1024i specifications
Why the KM1024i costs more
The KM1024i uses shared-wall piezoelectric architecture — a more sophisticated and durable design than the thin-film piezo in Epson DX-series heads. It is engineered for industrial duty cycles: continuous high-speed printing at volumes that would destroy consumer-grade heads in weeks. The higher price reflects industrial-grade construction, longer service life (18–36 months), and the engineering overhead of the shared-wall design.
Compatible printers
The KM1024i is used in large-format production printers from manufacturers including Durst, Agfa, Scitex, EFI VUTEk, and various Chinese industrial printer brands. It is specified by the printer manufacturer — confirm the exact variant (LNB, LNX, etc.) from your printer's service documentation.
KM1024i variants
- KM1024i LNB — low viscosity ink (standard eco-solvent)
- KM1024i LNX — higher viscosity / UV compatible (some versions)
